Ethiopia is one of the most sought-after and enigmatic destinations in Africa since it has high elevation uplands and plateaus beside the typical East African savannahs, deserts and lakes. The extraordinary and unique wildlife includes close to 900 bird species and almost 300 mammal species. Both mammals and birds includes more than 30 endemic species each. Some of the special mammals you can photograph on an Ethiopia Mammal tour include endemics like Gelada Baboon, Giant Mole Rat, Ethiopian Highland Hare, Ethiopian Wolf or Simien Fox, Mountain Nyala. If we add an extension to the North East of India there the vast grasslands of Kaziranga National Park harbour the world's largest population of Indian Rhinoceros and a significant population of Asian Elephant as well. Manas National Park on the Bhutanese border is famous for Golden Langur, Pygmy Hog and Hispid Hare.
